Scratching Babies

We had a problem with our little girl from two months on with scratching. Even with her nails clipped well, she tended to scratch herself at night and wake up. Once she got herself pretty good and just about woke up the neighborhood.

The solution proved a lot easier than we thought. We simply bought a couple of shirts for one year olds, sewed shut the arm holes, and had no more trouble.

We're happy to say that, at 11 months, we stopped this procedure and didn't have another problem. Babies' coordination improves in leaps and bounds during the first year, so we're not sure when it would have been safe to forego the closed shirt. But: Another successful transition.
